Manchester United 3 — Kaka 2

By: Nick | April 24th, 2007

kaka.jpg Well he didn’t live up to his name as he was far from shit — but will Kaka’s two goals be enough to aid AC Milan’s progress? Or will the inability to prevent Kaka’s two goals prove a hindrance to United’s progress? Hmm…

This one’s pretty delicately poised in all honesty, and Milan will surely be happy with the away goals. Yet for a while at two nil, I honestly thought they could have put us away. We’re quite capable of pinching a goal or two at the San Siro.

Defensive blunders aside, we have to be pretty content with the result. Milan’s back four were hardly too comfortable without Maldini — while ours threatened to implode too often. Probably the true winner was the person who placed a bet on a three two United win. I’m sure the odds were good.

Actually, if we want to get technical, it was Rooney 2, Kaka 2, Dida 1.

LOL Ian. I said that in the first half Milan seemed to be scoring all the goals. thank God Rooney has been in form for the European competition and let’s hope it stays that way *knocks on wood*

Dida must have had one of the worst games of his life. I don’t know what he was thinking during that first goal, but United can certainly consider that a gift.

And Rooney’s last goal was class. So glad to see he’s broken his Champions League curse. ;)
