The Title Winning Season in Review: Sheffield United (Away) November 18th
By: Nick | June 21st, 2007The season passed mid-November with United showing little sign of slowing down.
This time, it was the soon to be Carlos Tevez hating Sheffield United put to the sword thanks to a Rooney brace.
The Guardian match report gushed:
“There is a conviction about the Premiership leaders unseen since they last took the title in 2003″.
It was now firmly evident that United were serious in their title pursuit:
“Anyone seeking explanations for the recovery would point out that Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs are in their best form for years. That pair, in turn, were probably galvanised by the realisation that they might not after all have to spend the closing phase of their careers as also-rans to Chelsea”.
The first video has Rooney’s excellent winner, complete with very excited commentary.
The second shows United fans behind the goal, expressing their opinion on the sexual exploits of eyebrow biting victim Paddy Kenny’s wife.
