If it comes down to goal difference and we prevail — it means we’ll have suffered the mother of all scares. No thanks.
Yet despite the uncomfortable feeling of that scenario, it’s a real possibility with Chelsea 03’s stubborn insistence on not losing these days, and apparently would sit quite well with Sir Alex Ferguson.
I suspect the advantage Fergie has over the rest of us to be able to healthily survive this eventuality, is the presence of ice water in his veins — the product of twenty years as a football manager.
My veins are filled with regular old blood — and my nerves would not be best pleased to have to wait until the last game for a title decider.
Surely Chelsea 03 will be so kind as to drop a couple of points here or there — pretty please?
