Blackburn Rovers Come Roving For Goals at Old Trafford

By: Nick | March 30th, 2007

black.jpg Blackburn and Chelsea 03 have a great deal in common. Both were fairly insignificant clubs before they were purchased by very wealthy men with penchants for steel, and buying success. The difference now in owners is that one is dead, while Roman Abramovich is not.

Blackburn did not spend quite the incredulous amounts that Chelsea 03 have - but it was enough to buy them a solo Premiership title regardless.

Nowadays they’re scrapping on a tight budget, under the stewardship of rumored possible Fergie successor Mark Hughes. Now ‘Sparky’ has done a fairly stellar job at Ewood Park - but the qualities required to even attempt to successfully replicate Fergie’s era are a different kettle of fish entirely. Oh, and I hope he suffers his worst managerial effort of the season tomorrow. He’s still a Legend though.
