United overcame the appearance of Kieran Richardson in the starting eleven, to earn maximum points against Everton, in a relatively comfortable manner. The site of Richardson apart, there were further worries before kick-off, as it was announced that O’Shea and Fletcher would feature from the start. Fair play in the end though - team changes that have, in the past, not always gone swimmingly, tonight turned out positively.
