Video of the Urawa Red Diamonds Holding the Red Devils

By: Nick | July 17th, 2007

A few things of note after the match:

*Van der Sar’s obvious error was not what we wanted to see after last season’s finishing wobble.

*Those new match shirts still look like training shirts to me.

*Cristiano Ronaldo looks to have started exactly where he left off — a tidy goal indeed.

*Wayne Rooney’s shaved head gives him the dubious ‘nightclub bouncer’ look.

Van der Sar’s mistakes are really starting to mount up and we can’t put our heads any further in the sand now, as we are reaching rock bottom. It’s hard to know what to say, really, but with all the talk about Foster last season (who made a couple of ludicrous mistakes of his own) one cannot help but wonder where our endless quest for a goalie is going to end.

I can’t believe Foster will be out until March — that’s a blow to us and him… EVDS is becoming a big concern. I’ve a feeling we might pick up a new keeper by the end of the transfer window…

Van der Sar has fallen off like 100%, it doesn’t seem as if he’s paying attention at all. I mean he could have saved either one of those goals. I’m now afraid for our chances this season, especially with him between the posts.

Go Fletch! Yeah, Van der Sar definitely looked a little shaky. I don’t think either of those goals were particularly special, and the second was a fairly slow crossing ball in front of him … this could really be a problem this season for MU. Once again, more importantly from the Scotland NT fan in me … Go Fletch!
