United Travel to the Home of Lego

By: Nick | October 31st, 2006

cball3.jpg Moving on nicely to the ultimate corporate football climate - it’s Champions League week! United face what should be a relatively straight forward trip to FC Copehagen, knowing a win or likely draw will secure qualification to the next round (and it’s ever so precious profits). The European Cup, er, Champions League has always been high on Fergie’s agenda - though since ‘99 our participation has hardly set the world on fire. Seems though, that the desire of Sir Alex remains as strong as ever…

My own feeling is that after a pretty easy path to the “sweet 16″ we’ll top the group and look to face a second place finisher… Conveniently, Barcelona, Inter and Real Madrid are doing their best to come second in their groups - so we’ll likely land one of these European minnows!
