United Take a Quick Break — Take on Europe

By: Nick | March 12th, 2007

mutv.jpg Shouldn’t the headline read “The World’s Greatest Players in One Place - plus Kieran Richardson?”. Just a thought.

So what do you do when you have an injury epidemic and face one of the most important few weeks in your rich history? Why schedule a match against the elite of Europe naturally! This 50th anniversary celebration of the creation of the European Union and of United becoming the first English side to play in UEFA’s European club competition will also be remembered as likely the last time Henrik Larsson played at Old Trafford (shedding a tear).

They can’t wait till after UEFA? This might have been fun to watch but now I have to pray to the soccer gods that no one gets hurt.

that match was scheduled for more than 4 months not that it would matter.

But why not make the best out of it and force injuries of european players tonight, which they could meet in the Champions League later on…
