Giggs Goes On (And On?)

By: Nick | December 8th, 2006

og1.jpg While it’s unlikely Ryan Giggs will resemble this fella on the day he retires from the club - it certainly looks as if he might not be too far off. At least in the opinion of Sir Alex.

I’m delighted that Giggs is still performing at such a high level right now. He’s just one of those genuinely good guys in football, and deserves to retire wearing the United shirt. How many players these days spend their entire career with one club? Not too many.

Ever the consumate team player, Giggs himself chooses not to focus on personal things too much.

All that time off while the other players are on international duty must help his longevity. I’ve been amazed by his high level of play this year. His energy and pass are so important to that team.
