It’s evident to me that only two things will survive a nuclear holocaust — cockroaches, and football fans moaning about diving.
The incessant debate rages on again today after Ronaldo’s “tumble” at Middlesbrough - thanks in no small part to Gareth Southgate’s pathetic rant. By the way, shouldn’t he have more pressing concerns?
Predictably, Sir Alex is not at all pleased, and even the unsteady one himself has quickly “launched” his own defence. Pun very much intended.

The tide is slowly turning on this nonsense. Just let them play the game already. Southgate has it coming. He’s a bit green and it’s starting to show.
