Richardson Goes; Smith Given the Chance to Stay

By: Nick | July 16th, 2007

cheers.jpgIt’s time to burst out the bubbly, for we’ll no longer have that sinking feeling each time we see Kieran Richardson’s name on the team sheet. Thank you Sunderland, and a big cheers to Roy Keane. Although as relieved as I am that Richardson is gone — a part of me wonders if Keane has lost the plot just a little.

Meanwhile it appears that despite some steady speculation over the Summer that Alan Smith was surplus to requirements after a stop/start United career — he might be afforded the opportunity to prove that he deserves a fresh contract at United.
