Referee Set for Lion’s Den

By: Nick | November 21st, 2006

ref.jpg As we await the huge clash in Glasgow, news today that the referee issue for Sunday’s clash with Chelsea has been settled. Poor Graham Poll – clearly way too radioactive right now for such an important game.

It’s funny how Jose Mourinho manages to kick up a stink about Poll – then the powers that be, fall over themselves to make sure Poll doesn’t get to do this match. Why should he get such a say on this? Oh yeah, I forgot, he is the “special one” after all (yawn).

Anyway, on to matters close at hand. Kick-off in Glasgow is a mere 45 minutes away. More after the match – let’s hope I’m in a good mood…

so your comments have nothing to do with Graham Poll being a ‘crap’ referee and of course Man Utd HAVE NEVER EVER made critical comments about referees, have they?

Just pointing out that in this case Chelsea got their way… United’s referee “past” is certainly not stellar – perhaps a subject for another day.
