Next Season’s Home Shirt Gets Officially Unveiled

By: Nick | July 1st, 2007

So after months of breathless anticipation (!), United have finally revealed to the masses what they’ll be spending their next forty pounds on. Err, I mean what their idols will be wearing on the football pitch come August.

I’m sure the design guru’s at Nike have been busy stretching the boundaries of shirt design concepts for the past few months — piling up the work hours in their laboratories in order to provide a final design that is, well, a bit plain really.

It reminds me of a training jersey in all honesty. 7/10. I’m sure I’ll get used to it though.

Is that little stripey thing on the lower back for real? It looks sort of like an ass zipper. Anyway, I don’t hate it. I sort of expect boring red kits from United.

Even though I really dislike ManU, there’s only one option here:

They have to sign Zlatan and bring back the Cantona flipped up collar. It’s the only way.

These Man U jerseys are aweful. I know Nike could have done a much better job with the design than that. I preferred last season’s look compared to this one. Step the game up NIke

Zlatan will never come close to Cantona so stop right there, chris.

The stripe looks like a tail. And the front design really does make it look like a training jersey. Whatever, as long as they play well in it.

I like it. I prefer football kits to be simple. There’s no need for loads of lines, spots and what have you…

Its the football being played that will be fancy anyway ;-)

I like it. Simple and tasteful. I don’t like jerseys that are too “heavy” design-wise.
