Let’s Do This Again Next Week Shall We?

By: Nick | February 18th, 2007

replay.jpg Both teams made significant changes - resulting in a fairly open match that United should have won had they simply taken their chances. Reading hung around at one nil - and were rewarded by their efforts to resist the killer blow.

The need for a replay has once again ignited debate on the benefits of such an extra effort to progress in the FA Cup - but I reckon the away team has a right to host a second match should they fail to lose in the first one. Why oh why do managers have to moan so much? Especially Arsene Whinger Wenger. But ever the contrarian - Sir Alex doesn’t seem to mind the replay issue too much.
