Howard’s End?
By: Nick | December 18th, 2006
Tim Howard looks to be getting some taxi hailing practice in that photo. Turns out he might need some, as he looks likely to be leaving Manchester in the future.
I feel bad for Howard. He’s a talented keeper - undone at United by one glorious mistake. Such is the pressure of being a successor to the legendary Peter Schmeichel. Never an easy task, of which, only Edwin van der Sar has truly succeeded.
Think about it though - if Howard’s error doesn’t cost us that match against Jose Mourinho’s Porto - they crash out and don’t win the whole thing. Then, perhaps Jose doesn’t attract the interest of Chelsea after all, and stays in Portugal… An intriguing theory.
