Gordon Ramsay Could Have Been the Second Celebrity Chef to Have Previously Been a Professional Footballer for Rangers
By: Nick | June 6th, 2007
For had things turned out a little differently, it seems Sir Alex Ferguson might have chosen a life in the kitchen over a life in football management. He reveals:
“Believe it or not, I worked in a kitchen for 18 months when I was a player…”
Before admitting being a top chef might be a little more stressful than even his profession:
“I lost four games this year and still won the league, so there is room for error in football in a 38-game programme. But if Gordon has one bad meal in 38, he could lose business and his reputation”.
It doubt I’m alone in having extreme difficulty picturing him as a top chef — though the ‘hairdryer’ treatment wouldn’t be out of place in kitchen culture. No word on whether or not Sir Alex was asked for his culinary advice aboard this airline.
