Aidy Boothroyd’s Hornets Looking to Sting Confident United
By: Nick | April 13th, 2007
On paper this game is simply no contest. But the game ain’t played on paper, so Watford certainly have a chance to provide the upset. And after United’s demolition of Roma - a Watford win would go down in the history of upsets.
With United loanee Ben Foster obviously prohibited from facing the team that he will likely return to next season, Watford will turn to reserve Richard Lee to stop United’s offensive onslaught (he himself a United fan).
Frustratingly (for him and us fans) Louis Saha is missing from United’s squad. Paul Scholes and his crazy tackling return. Watford midfielder’s legs beware.
I’ve a lot of time for Watford’s Aidy Boothroyd - he’ll be at a bigger club soon. His buttering up skills aren’t too bad either.
In more proof as to the draw of United, we’re the only semi-finalists to have sold out our ticket allocation. A mildly embarrassing situation for the FA.
