Manchester United Pick Liverpool’s Pockets
By: Nick | March 5th, 2007
I’ll admit we weren’t at our flowing best - but the Scousers’ cries about them having total dominance are a little extreme. Van der Sar made a couple of great stops - but it’s not as if he had to pull off the best performance of his United career.
However, it was a huge relief to leave Anfield with three points. Massive in fact. We’d have all settled for a draw before kick-off. So a smash and grab victory came as a delight.
We’ve been lucky two weeks in a row with last gasp winners - but we’ll take it. As long as we begin to play well again soon. However the title race is not over yet, of that I am sure. Chelsea are not dropping points at all right now - so the joy at winning a game we hardly deserved is understandable. Now we get a slight break with the two cup games coming up - then two home games to try and solidify the title push.
