Sir Alex Reckons Outside Forces are Influencing Wes Brown

By: Nick | February 22nd, 2008

Aah, Wes Brown. What can you say really. Normally a squad player at best, thrust into a starting job in an unfamiliar position — and admittedly doing a decent (though hardly spectacular) job of it.

Yet his limitations at right back are painfully obvious at times, in particular when it comes to putting decent crosses into the box. He just can’t seem to do it.

But despite the fact that it’s usually all downhill for players that leave Old Trafford (I know there have been one or two notable exceptions) — Wes wants a bit more hard cash to stick around.

Or perhaps he’s actually dumb enough to believe a move to wacky Newcastle would be a good thing.

Think about your decision carefully Wesley — just ask Roy Carroll.
