Like Man U hasn’t had their share of late winners/equalizers deep into lengthy injury times. I remember games during the Cantona era when United would have over 5 minutes of injury time and score in this time.

I’m not saying Americans are thick.
I’m saying yanks don’t understand ‘piss taking’ humour as its a typically British thing that’s found in our comedy and on our terraces in chants.
As Fergie is just taking the piss you should put nothing into his comments.
Similarly, Gooners can’t comprehend piss taking. For example, when Villa fans sung “Stand up, cos Eduardo can’t” at the Emirates the Arsenal stewards had the culprits arrested for what is typically, and historically, terrace banter.
And then there’s satire…
