Yesterday I believed Arsenal to be the very worst losers in the world - but this dubious honor has well and truly been snatched away by LOSC Lille Metropole. Congratulations - you’ve earned it.
Their nickname might be the Mastiffs - but the unwillingness to let go of defeat need not resemble a dog refusing to loosen its grip on a chew toy. Bizarre.
It was pompous enough to threaten to walk off the pitch in protest at what’s clearly been determined as a legitimate goal - but the continuing stubbornness (or is that pure arrogance?) of the club to maintain their appeal is a joke.
